WEDDING SAREE

Wedding is a very important part of Indian traditions and so is the clothing. In a country like India, where you have a confluence of different religions and traditions, sari stands out as an important wedding attire bringing the much desired synergy.
Be it a traditional Tamil Brahmin wedding or a pompous Gujrati shaadi, saree has to be a part of the bride’s attire. Though a lot of designers have lehenga in their bridal collection, yetsari hasn’t lost its charm. It is still preferred over a lot of other Indian traditional wear like salwar kameez, ghaghra choli and lacha.
Ardently formulated in exquisite creations, the wedding collection mostly features rich and vibrant colour.Red is primarily the wedding colour followed by pink, maroon and orange. Until recently, the wedding sarees used to be an exclusive piece of Banarasi silk or an exquisite Kanchipuram creation. But with contemporary designs making their presence felt, the heavy brocade and floral motifs have been replaced by Zari, embroidery, organza, zardozi, sequence, cut work, mirror work, patchwork, pearl work, kasab and kundan. Besides with designers coming up with Bridal Trousseau, each and every girl can now pick her own collection for her ‘The Day’.
The saree has changed a lot over the years. Now the designs are flashier and there is a lot of handwork that goes into it. The fabric is mostly georgette. But all said and done, it still adorns a bride as beautifully as it has over the years.

INDIAN BRIDAL FASHION

Every girls dreams of the day when she will be tied in a beautiful bond of marriage then she will start a new life ahead. And thus the day of wedding becomes the most important day of her life. And ofcourse on an important day she desires to look like a princess, a fairy. And this is where begins the planning for the right type of costume and jewellery for the bride. So we can’t imagine a Indian wedding with out bridal accessories.
On the day of wedding the bride is to be adorned with the lehenga or saree andjewellery.Today’s Indian bridal fashion reflects the changes that have been brought about in the bridal apparel through out the century. The Indian bridal fashion depicts the finest in Indian tradition of embroidery where different kinds of Indian embroidery techniques have been used. The motifs range from the traditional schools of India’s traditional textile centers like Banaras, Kashmir Andhra Pradesh, Agra and of course the main schools of Gujarat and Rajasthan which have always added authenticity to Indian bridal fashion.
The use of embellishment is also refreshingly traditional and do not depend upon crystals, sequins or any other plastic ornamentation. In a wedding ceremony a bride first needs awedding saree with blouse set or a wedding lehenga and then matching jewellery set such as neck lace, earrings, ring, nose ring, bangles, payals, foot rings and a shoe. These are most require able things which a bride need. In this new age it is not important load the bride with costume from head to toe rather it is more important see that the costumes she worn is of the right choice and style.
